Looking Beyond the Election: Focusing on Personal Development

I intentionally prepared my mind for the worse, beyond the election, I started focusing more on how I can do better for my life and brand, eventhough my preferred candidate lose out in the just concluded election. But then the reality is different. I know a lot of people are feeling disappointed and cheated. It’s understandable that people have lost hope in the country’s political/electoral system and its ability to bring about positive change. However, we must not dwell on these feelings of hopelessness but rather focus on personal growth. “just like the saying, governement or no government I must survive.”

It’s important to recognize that the political system is only one aspect of Nigeria, and we have the power to control our own lives (forget banters). By focusing on personal growth, we can become stronger and more resilient, which will ultimately benefit the country as a whole. You owe yourself a more better life.

Use this time to evaluate your own life and set personal goals. Build your skills and knowledge, learn new things, and explore new opportunities. Take control of your own life and work towards becoming a better version of yourself. You can “japa” if you have the means, before you make step make sure you have the needed skill, be sure of the country you intend to move to., if you can’t “japa” it’s time to do it differently, no hating.

It’s natural to feel scared and uncertain for the future, but we must not let these feelings control us. Instead, use this uncertainty as motivation to grow and become more resilient. We have a rich history of resilience and determination, and we can use that as motivation to keep pushing forward.

Beyond the election what becomes of you? Think!

What if what you envisage to be a nightmare turns out to become a blessing, Why bother yourself on what you have no control of. Sometimes, our initial thoughts and fears can hold us back from taking risks and trying new things. However, it’s important to embrace change and be willing to take chances. It’s a new era, beyond the election, beyond the pains and time wasted, believe that something good is coming and work towards it. I am not a motivational speaker. While the disappointment of this election result may be palpable, we need to move on and focus on what we can do to create a better future for Nigeria.
